The region surrounding Merida offers plenty of attractions, both natural and cultural. You could easily spend a month here, and still only see a little of what the mountains have to offer. Many of these interesting places are accessible by road. We offer different jeep tours to the region north and south of Merida, mostly visiting some of the nicest Andean villages. The duration of these tours depends on the itinerary. You will be able to choose between one-day tours and several day tours. It’s also possible to combine most of these tours with some mountain biking and/or some horse riding.

For these that are interested in some intensive mountain biking the surrounding of Merida offers many different possibilities for all the difficulty levels. One of the best region to bike is located south of Merida, known as Los Pueblos del Sur. Here is possible to organize 3 or 4 day loop trips passing through the Andean villages of San Jose, Mucutuy, Mucuchachi, Canagua. It’s a beautiful lost mountain region.
